I INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE – Achievements and challenges of modern science in an interdisciplinary perspective: Pedagogy – Law – Psychology

The pedagogical panel will focus on issues related to effective teaching in the context of dynamic educational and social changes. The focus will be on the contemporary role of the teacher, who faces the new dynamics of students’ functioning, developmental needs and social relations, significantly different from those of a decade ago.

The panelists will reflect on the evolution of school – from a place of knowledge transmission to a space for developing the competencies of the future. An important area of discussion will be the combination of classical principles of pedagogy and Psychology with the discoveries of neuroscience and the use of digital technology tools in the learning process.
The aim of the panel is to create a platform for the exchange of experiences between pedagogical theory and internship, and to develop inspiration and solutions that can be applied in everyday educational work.

SECTION I

The paradigm of neurodidactics in pedagogical practice

Modern education is constantly searching for new and effective pathways to education and training. However, neurodidactics, as a bridge between neuroscience and pedagogy, has become an interdisciplinary trend that redefines traditional approaches to teaching. It should be emphasized that at its center is not the curriculum, but the biological conditions, limitations and natural potential of children and students. Thus, the pursuit of modern solutions in improving the effectiveness of the teaching process using the development and potential of the young person requires careful consideration. Hence neurodidactics, which is not a “new method” but a “new educational culture” that requires a broader context of information exchange for the theory and internship of the modern school.

SECTION II

Modern activation methods and teaching effectiveness

The changes we are observing in education are also reflected in the methodology of interaction of modern teachers. Modern activation methods, as a response to the needs of the modern model of education, which should be considered in the context of a relational, constructivist approach, which puts the student at the center of his education process. Today we ask questions about why activation methods work more effectively despite the challenges and barriers to their implementation.

The effectiveness of teaching with the use of activation methods, is nothing more than a departure from the “administering” model, in which the student, as a passive recipient, seeking relational contact with knowledge is only an idle recipient of information. However, we want to focus the most significant issues in this field precisely on the effectiveness of teaching implying the need for a wide-ranging discussion among researchers of this subject.

SECTION III

New technologies in pedagogical practice

The introduction of digital and technological solutions to school internship raises many questions about the prospect of new insights into changing the model of teacher work. Often seen as an “invisible assistant,” new technologies often allow personalization of learning on a scale that was previously unattainable.

The issues of digital technologies also apply to special pedagogy, therapy and rehabilitation of children/students with special educational needs. Here we are mainly thinking of individualization of learning pathways, implementation of immersive technologies (VR and AR), gamification and microlearning.

New formulas of education in times of technological progress, also raise questions about challenges and ethics. Therefore, digital hygiene, critical thinking, digital exclusion, are key topics to which contemporary pedagogy seeks answers today.

Psychology panel will be devoted to contemporary challenges of psychologist’s work in the face of dynamic technological, social and civilization changes. The discussion will include issues related to mental health, human functioning under conditions of uncertainty and the development of new forms of psychological support and assistance.

Panelists will reflect on the changing role of Psychology in education and social life, as well as on the need to integrate theoretical knowledge with the practical experience of professionals working with children, adolescents and adults.

The purpose of the panel is to create a space for the exchange of experiences, the presentation of good practices and the search for effective forms of psychological support that meet the current needs of individuals and communities.

SECTION I -. Psychological consequences of crises and civilizational changes

Pandemic, war, migration, climate crisis – the impact on the psyche

The presentations in this section focus on analyzing the impact of global and local crises in the modern world on the psychological functioning of individuals and social groups. Pandemics, armed conflicts, forced migrations and the growing climate crisis are multidimensional sources of chronic stress, destabilizing the previous sense of security, continuity and predictability of life. The presentations attempt to capture both universal and culturally differentiated psychological responses to these phenomena.

Anxiety, trauma, feelings of danger and loss of control

This part of the section is devoted to the psychological consequences of crisis experiences, with a focus on heightened anxiety, traumatic reactions, post-traumatic stress symptoms, and disorders associated with loss of control and agency. The papers analyze the mechanisms of the emergence of these states, their dynamics over time, as well as risk and protective factors affecting individual differences in responding to situations of danger and uncertainty.

Mechanisms of coping and adaptation

The last block of sections focuses on coping strategies and adaptive processes for maintaining relative psychological balance under conditions of long-term uncertainty. Individual mechanisms of emotion regulation, the importance of personal resources and psychological resilience, as well as the role of social support, psychological interventions and systemic measures are discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying effective forms of support and opportunities to strengthen the adaptive competence of individuals and communities.

SECTION II -. Mental health of children and adolescents

The mental condition of the younger generation

Speeches in this part of the section are devoted to analyzing the current mental condition of children and adolescents in the context of dynamic social, cultural and technological changes. The most frequently observed emotional and behavioral difficulties are discussed, including mood and anxiety disorders, adaptation problems and developmental crises, as well as environmental factors affecting the mental well-being of the younger generation.

The role of school, family and professionals

This block focuses on the importance of key educational and support environments in shaping the mental health of children and adolescents. The papers address collaboration between school, family and mental health professionals, emphasizing the role of recognizing difficulties early, building safe relationships and supporting young people’s emotional and social competence.

Prevention, intervention and system support

The last part of the section is devoted to prevention and intervention activities aimed at protecting the mental health of children and adolescents. Models of systemic support, prevention programs implemented in school and community settings, and challenges related to the availability and effectiveness of psychological and psychiatric assistance are discussed. Particular attention is paid to the need for consistent, interdisciplinary solutions to the current needs of the younger generation.

SECTION III -. New forms of psychological assistance

Online help, telepsychology, crisis intervention

Speeches in this part of the section are devoted to the dynamic development of remote forms of psychological assistance and their role in increasing the availability of support in crisis situations. The possibilities and limitations of telepsychology, the specifics of online work in crisis intervention, and the practical experience of providing assistance in conditions of emergency, isolation or limited access to traditional forms of support are discussed.

New technologies in diagnosis and therapy

This block focuses on the use of modern technologies in the process of psychological diagnosis and therapy. The papers address issues related to the use of digital tools, applications to support mental health, solutions based on artificial intelligence and innovative methods of monitoring the mental state of patients. Special attention is paid to evaluating the effectiveness of these solutions and their integration with traditional forms of therapeutic interventions.

Boundaries, ethics and professional responsibility

The last part of the section reflects on the ethical and legal aspects of using new forms of psychological assistance. Issues of professional responsibility, data protection, confidentiality, the limits of the therapeutic relationship, and the competencies necessary to work in the digital environment are discussed. The papers highlight the importance of ethical standards and professional regulations in ensuring the safety and quality of psychological assistance in the changing technological reality.
