By train – the railway station is just a few minutes’ walk from the university.
By car – quick access to the S86 road facilitates efficient arrival from many directions.
By public transport – the largest transfer hub in Sosnowiec (buses and trams) is right next to the university.

If you’re looking for a university with tradition that isn’t afraid to move with the times – you’ve come to the right place. Humanitas University (formerly Humanitas College) has over 26 years of experience in educating and developing students’ passions.

Humanitas University – with tradition and future

Our history began on April 23, 1997 in Sosnowiec, when we were registered as the College of Management and Marketing in the Register of Non-State Universities under number 110. It was an initiative of Aleksander Dudek – the University Chancellor.

However, our roots go back to 1990 and the AWANS Training Center – from which the first private higher education institution in Sosnowiec and the second in the entire Zagłębie region grew.

From the beginning, we focused on concrete results – starting with the Management and Marketing program, and later dynamically expanding our educational offer, responding to the needs of students and the job market.

The most important moments in our history:

2000 – launch of the Administration program, which immediately gained popularity,
2003 – permission to conduct master’s studies in Management,
from 2005 – development of new fields: Pedagogy, Political Science, English Philology, Environmental Protection, History, Sociology, Journalism and Social Communication (awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education),
2011 – launch of the Law program,
2013 – start of Psychology, for which we received further distinctions,
2014 – launch of Electroradiology, in cooperation with the Polish Association of Electroradiology Technicians,
from 2015 – international activities: Czech Republic (Vsetin, Prague), psychology studies,
2021 – presence in Gliwice: law, psychology, postgraduate studies (from 2023),
2022 – obtaining academic rights.

Today, Humanitas University is:

11 fields of study,
doctoral seminar and the possibility of obtaining doctoral and habilitation degrees,
MBA and LLM studies,
modern teaching facilities,
internships, projects, certificates, and international opportunities.

Law and Psychology programs are considered the best among private universities in the Silesian Voivodeship – according to the 2022 “Perspektywy” ranking.

Studying with us is not just theory. It’s also practice, activity in scientific circles, personal and professional development. We cooperate with companies, schools, institutions, and communities – we teach, but we also act.

Standards for the Protection of Minors at Humanitas University

In accordance with legal requirements, Humanitas University has introduced Standards for the protection of minors, defined in appropriate internal regulations.

Our priority is to ensure that the university is a safe place for both children and youth who visit our walls, as well as for underage students. Therefore, all persons associated with Humanitas University, both employees and students, are obliged to comply with these Standards.

The Standards for the Protection of Minors have been developed in accordance with the Act of May 13, 2016, on counteracting threats of sexual crimes and protecting minors (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2024, item 560) and made publicly available in two versions: full and abbreviated.
